عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ : إِذَا رَأَيْتُمْ أَخَاكُمْ قَارَفَ ذَنْبًا فَلَا تَكُوْنُوْا أَعْوَانًا لِلشَّيْطَانِ عَلَيْهِ ، تَقُولُوا : أَخْزَاهُ اللهُ ، قَبَّحَهُ اللهُ ، وَلَكِنْ قُولُوا : تَابَ اللهُ عَلَيْهِ ، غَفَرَ لَهُ
Abu Mas’ud رضي الله تعالى عنه said:
When you see your brother commit a sin, do not be the helpers of the Devil against him by saying: ‘May Allah debase him’ or ‘May Allah disgrace him’, but rather say ‘May Allah accept his repentance; may Allah forgive him’.
